Sponsorship is where its at if you want to make money skateboarding. As such it is necessary to contact various skateboard companies to see if you qualify for skateboard sponsorship.
Below is a compilation of some of the popular skateboard companies that you may wish to seek a sponsorship program through. It is important realize that in most cases prospective riders are usually brought to any given company’s attention through their team members, so being active at skate parks and events is the best way to show off what you have. However, if you think you are sponsorship material and you have yet to be approached by any company team members or prospective sponsors, skateboard companies also encourage skaters to send in a video tape to them which demonstrates their skills. Be sure to include your phone number and/or email address where you can be reached. Most importantly it is necessary to be patient and to give these companies 4-6 weeks to review your tape and make their final decision.
